Solar Thermal Energy

Modern solar thermal technologies concentrate sunlight and utilise its energy to produces hot water, steam and electricity. Apart from using suitable technologies to capture the solar energy, buildings can be designed to make use of the heat and light energy of the sun by incorporating appropriate design features such as large south-facing windows and building materials that absorb and slowly release the sun's heat.
