Forms of energy

• Energy is stored in six forms: mechanical, chemical, nuclear, thermal, radiant and electrical. It is neither created nor destroyed. The amount of energy in the universe remains the same. When energy is used, it is being transformed from one form into other form(s) of energy (e.g. the transformation of electrical energy to thermal energy in a household electric heater).
